Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 21, 2026
Squirdle is a free, fan-made Pokémon guessing game. This policy explains what information may be processed when you visit Squirdle.org and how the game stores your progress.
Information stored on your device
Squirdle uses your browser’s local storage to remember daily puzzle progress, previous guesses, and whether you completed the current encounter. This information stays in your browser and is used only to restore the game when you return or refresh the page. Squirdle does not require an account, and your saved puzzle progress is not submitted as personal profile information.
You can remove locally stored game data at any time by clearing site data for Squirdle.org in your browser settings. Doing so will reset saved progress for the current daily puzzle.
Basic website analytics
We may use privacy-conscious website analytics to understand general activity, such as page views, approximate visit location, referring pages, browser type, device type, and overall usage patterns. This information helps us improve performance, usability, and the game experience. We do not use the site to create personal player profiles or sell personal information.
Technical information
Like most websites, hosting and security systems may temporarily process standard technical information such as IP address, browser user agent, request time, and requested page. This data may be used for site delivery, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, abuse protection, and security monitoring.
Third-party services
Some game assets or technical services may be delivered through third-party hosting or infrastructure providers. Those providers may receive the technical information required to deliver a requested file or service. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies.
Score sharing
The share feature prepares a text summary of your result. Sharing occurs only when you choose the Share button. Depending on your device, the summary is passed to the operating system’s share menu or copied to your clipboard. Squirdle does not automatically publish your score or select a recipient.
Children’s privacy
Squirdle is a general-audience fan game and does not knowingly request names, email addresses, or other identifying information from children. If the site’s features change in a way that introduces new data collection, this policy will be updated accordingly.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Squirdle after an update means the revised policy applies to subsequent visits.
